Different Gospels

When you move abroad you’ll notice a difference in preaching styles.


The gospel you’ll hear from Nigerian preachers is absolutely different from abroad gospel.


While many Nigerian preachers focus more on 

tithing and prosperity,


- Breaking generational curses,


- Casting out poverty,


- Binding demons,


- Praying for jobs, husbands, 


- Praying against accidents etc


The preachers abroad focus more on building righteousness:


- Their gospels are less about wealth, or tithes, or poverty,


- They preach about building a relationship with God


- About how to be righteous,


- About Charity, and helping others


- About loving one another, etc


Although different, these two types of gospel are valid and essential in their own way.


But the former is influenced mostly by bad governance, which is what we suffer in Nigeria.


It is true that people stop being overly religious when they move abroad, and this is because all the things they pray for have been taken care of by the government.


  • They don’t have to pray for jobs
  • They don’t have to pray against accidents, because roads are smooth.
  • They don’t have to pray against robbery and kidnapping 
  • They don’t have to pray for security 
  • They don’t have to pray that Nepa brings the light. 
  • They don’t have to pray to get admission to the university!
  • They don’t have to pray for a medical condition to go away, because hospitals are working!

All these things are basic necessities of life that we don’t have to ask God for if we have a functional government. 


But we run to God for everything because we have a failed system!


God help us!

So one day, my Aunt’ visited. CALABAR CARNIVAL 6...Wahala

Episode 6... 28th December came the big day, The almighty Calabar carnival itself. A festival of culture, colors and life! In fact Christmas Day in Calabar was not as colorful as the Calabar carnival day itself. Xmas dey trek for where Carnival dey,...It was a blast! Just before it’s 1pm when the major routes will be blocked, Lucy and I left early to get our nails and hair fixed. We meandered our way through to Watts market... Hmmmm, coman see babes, see chicks, slay queens, and hardcore Calabar babes with their hairy yellow skin and 'Yam-Legs'...lol, (abeg na joke o) some don dey there since early mor mor! All queued up in the various saloons, either changing their hairstyles, attaching artificial lashes, carving their brows, fixing nails and others doing “bend-down-select”. We wait wait wait ooooo!... The Lagos Gala Hawker That Gave Prisoners Free Gala Is Now A Retail Store Owner

Few months ago, the internet was agog with the story of a gala hawker, who shared his gala freely to prisoners inside traffic, in a prison van. The warders never stopped him. He even went an extra mile by running profusely after the van, when the van started moving due to green light, with both of his hands full of gala, forcing the gala through the tiny finger openings, as the prisoners struggled to receive it. Excited motorists interviewed him on the spot, with much smile and happiness he said that he was just in a state of pity on their situation as human beings, gave them almost all the gala he was carrying, because they might be too hungry at that moment. The news went all over the social media. Several TV stations visited the traffic and interviewed him, on his exceptional act. CALABAR CARNIVAL 4...THE QUEEN ON FIRE!

Miss Africa 2018 Dorcas Dienda Episode 4. Hmmm, what we did was ludicrous but that was the only option we had. Lucy and I had to share the chair, we sat with half part of our ass. Lol. Fine girls like us. People would sure be staring but watin concern us ,  we just lock up dey do our thing jare. We turned and laughed at ourselves on several occasions and even took selfies and more pictures. Twas really laughable. Lol Las Las sha, a fine nice guy forfeited his seat for us, and then we sat more comfortably, only that we didn't get to watch HANTY Tiwa's performance. *Sad* The show went on as the contestants from different countries stepped out in different attires depicting Africanism... CALABAR BIKE CARNIVAL 2

Episode 2 ...“Make sure you wear trousers, shoes and a sleeve top too"...I'll be picking you up, we need to go somewhere..." A control I had from a friend, a member of the Calabar bike carnival crew. Where we dey go? I had no clue. But I simply concurred and did as he had advised. In a white sport bike he dropped by By mid afternoon, handing me a helmet and some bike gadgets. -"Hop in". So I joined him. -Hmmm...Prince, where we dey go? As clueless as I was, the response I got was a zuuuuuuuuuuuuum, he sped off. And before I knew it we were in a gathering of other bikers. -Hmmm Prince, you better start talking now o. -Okay... SUCKING

When I first saw them sucking, so many thoughts ran through my mind; I couldn’t help but wonder what manner of food that could be. Although I was very young, I could still replay the look on their faces whenever they sucked. I’m referring to the Calabar neighbor we had, whose kitchen was marked by the unique redolence. The aroma alone does a public announcement that they are “Calabarians”. I dunno if you’ve tried this sucking before; but my first time was with Afang soup. Afang soup makes no sense without  “suckables” in it. Omg...I lack words to describe. By now you’re wondering what exactly this thing is ... “Mfi”, as it is locally called, is simply unshelled periwinkles. It is mostly eaten by  Cross Riverians and Akwa Ibomites; and it is characterized by so much sand content. You can tell when someone is cooking with “Mfi” during the washing... BDSM - An acronym for ' bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism' . It is a form of sex where one person inflicts pain on the other for pleasure. And I will never understand the concept behind it.  Because why will you tie me with ropes and handcuffs, and flog me with a belt in the name of lovemaking? I find this insane!  You can call me old school but it just doesn’t make sense to me. There’s a difference between sexual abuse and abusive sex, and BDSM for me is abusive sex!  In research I participated in, I interviewed a lady who said that her husband cuts her lips with a blade and sucks her blood when having sex with her because sucking her blood turns him on the more. ONE CHANCE

So it was in the season of “one chance” I took a cab. After normal negotiations, we agreed on price. Quickly dumped myself onto the front seat, as I was itching to get out of the scorching sun!
