CORPERS' DOCUMENTS BURN TO ASHES AS SOKOTO NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP GUTS FIRE!

The corps members in Wamahka, Sokoto camp were left despair on Thursday 4th, April 2019, as their hostel in the orientation camp caught fire which resulted in the loss of most of their important documents including their certificates, and other relevant items.

Now, the question is, how can these lost documents be retrieved? Who will pay for the compensation and stress to retrieve them? and How much compensation will suffice?

    My hand luggage and backpack were meticulously packed for the journey, and since they were pretty portable, I decided to keep them with me instead of getting them checked in.   On arrival at security checks, I was asked to declare all my liquids, and with a clean conscience, I brought out all my deodorants, perfumes, body lotion, liquid soap, toothpaste, makeup foundation, etc... MISSING

  Something horrible happened to me recently. Turns out it is one of my 2021 highlights  Quite a lengthy read tho... I was all packed to leave for Brighton from London. Had one piece of luggage and a backpack, with my purse hanging in front of me.  Got on the bus, then on a train and then landed at the National rail station to board to Brighton. It would take 8mins for the train to arrive so I sat on a waiting chair where a young man was already seated, greeted him with a smile and sat beside him, with my backpack on the middle seat separating us.  Train arrived and I jumped on it, sat on a seat beside the toilet but decided to move to another cos of how close it was to the toilet. My earphones were plugged in throughout most of the journey. One & half hours into the journey we arrived at Brighton and people were already stood up waiting to alight, I noticed my backpack was missing.😳🤯 Scurried over and under my seat, see if it was there, but no, it wasn’t. So I’ve always wanted to model, to be on a billboard, do fashion, makeup, or something. It’s a passion I had low-key. Not because of the cliched assumption that “every tall slim girl should be a model”, but because I loved myself so much, and wished to put myself out there.   This pushed me to apply to many modeling agencies back in Nigeria. I applied left, right and center, but with no luck. Though I had reservations. And my reservations were that I didn’t fancy bikini modeling or pageantry. I knew what I wanted, so I just kept pitching and reaching out to loads and loads of agencies, but without any success.   So one day, I found an advert on a billboard, by a modeling agency calling for models. E don tay wey we dey hear the story, so I decided to have my share of the whole paparazzi experience. My Christmas celebration was kinda different this year away from fam but fun all the same. Didn’t plan on spending it  differently until an impromptu call for my presence came from the Federal Neuro Psychiatric hospital in Calabar as they planned a celebration for the #ONEBIGFAMILY and needed me to be part of it. Naso I carry myself go Lagos o, invited for an occasion and boom Lagos here I come. Tired, famished and burned out from the crazy journey yet I was saddled with the yoke of dragging my baggage along my shoulder. Switching the load from one shoulder to another. The bag heavy eh! Girls with load! Ask me watin I carry sef? Only my makeup kit took like half of the bag before you talk of clothes and shoes and towel and all the other hodgepodge. I was literally dragging my own luggage as if I was carrying the sins of the whole wide world on my poor shoulders. Pity me! So I moved with the text description of the venue on my phone which I showed to the taxi driver since It was an unfamiliar address. Tips for Finding an Apartment in the UK

Looking for an apartment in London is like looking for a life partner. Very similar characteristics: You’ll see the one with a good location: proximity to market, bus station, etc, but has a tiny tiny room.  🤦🏻‍♀️   If you eventually find one of good size, the rent price will be enough to buy land in your home country!  If you say you should go for a shared apartment to save cost, you will see the one with too many flatmates (4-7 people under one roof)! With a high tendency of noise and discord! And I don’t recommend this if you’re a student!  You will also see the one that has only one bathroom (with like 7 Flatmates sharing it), and you’ll literally have to queue to shower! You will also find houses where flatmates have pets—pets that’ll be sharing the kitchen with you  😥 . And if you’re someone like me who has a phobia for animals, you’re finished!   The reason why many Nigerian youths seem to be garnering a massive movement for the Presidential aspirant Peter Obi is not that they are guaranteed that he’ll be the “savior”, but because youths are tired of recycling the same old self-conceited egocentric politicians as leaders.  They want something new, something different, something original! And they don’t care who he is or where he’s from! ELIOT WHO WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD, DIES AGAIN, THIS TIME FOR GOOD!

Reports say that man who was “raised from the dead” by South African prophet, Pastor Alph Lukau back in February has died. Brighton ‘Elliot’ Moyo from Zimbabwe made headlines across the whole world after a video in which he was allegedly raised from the dead after 3 days went viral although Pastor Lukau later backtracked on his claims and accused Moyo’s family of staging the miracle. According to local publication H-Metro, Brighton died last week in a village called St Luke’s in South Africa. Unfortunately for Brighton, there was no resurrection this time and he was buried on Saturday.  He is survived by his wife only as they had no children.   When you move abroad you’ll notice a difference in preaching styles. The gospel you’ll hear from Nigerian preachers is absolutely different from abroad gospel. While many Nigerian preachers focus more on  tithing and prosperity, - Breaking generational curses, - Casting out poverty, - Binding demons, - Praying for jobs, husbands,  - Praying against accidents etc The preachers abroad focus more on building righteousness: - Their gospels are less about wealth, or tithes, or poverty, - They preach about building a relationship with God - About how to be righteous, - About Charity, and helping others - About loving one another, etc Although different, these two types of gospel are valid and essential in their own way. But the former is influenced mostly by bad governance, which is what we suffer in Nigeria.
