PLANTAIN SELLER TURNS ECOBANK AMBASSADOR

Known for their most receptive and hospitable nature, Cross-Riverians are saddled with the flaw of living in their “Comfort Zone”... they ain’t hustlers; not all tho, but a large number.

Not as if they’re lazy, I’ll be wrong if I address them as such. But they really do not have the spirit of striving, like, I mean hustling... or I should rather say they’re not industrious or not so business oriented.  No hard feelings, I served there, and not only did I serve there, I also got involved with the life of the people and their overall orientation; and I enjoyed my stay, but truth be told, most of the people doing business there are strangers, especially the Ibos.

But here is one out of the crowd of 'COMFORT-ZONERS'! One who chose to stand out, and have since been a bedrock of inspiration to many!

A young effervescent pretty graduate; She’s the female version of TIMAYA... The PLANTAIN SELLER!

Call her madam “Bole” (Roasted plantain)...

Call her the GRADUATE PLANTAIN SELLER...

Call her mama put...

Call her fine girl no shame...

Call her madam sweet bole

You are so correct!
I’ll give you a lil briefing bouh her!

Dunno how or when she started, but I sha know that she started from the scratch!

She’s a graduate, had stayed for a while with NO JOB...of course, our “NAIJA YOUTH ANTHEM”.

The criticality of the economy’s situation conditioned her, but she refused to be conditioned, and constructed for herself an “Air condition”.

So after school, she took up a seemingly demeaning kinda business and started a lil kiosk, selling roasted ‘bole’ by the roadside.

Funny thing is, she’s not even ashamed of her “local business”, and just like all the other regular online traders who post “place your order now” upandan on social media, she also brought her ‘bole’ business to fore by posting every detail of her business on her Facebook page.

She nor dey even shame!

She keeps roasting and posting her ‘bole and fish’ on Facebook until she gained the attention of her fans.

She does it really local, wearing a nylon as headgear and gloves, until some blunt commentators, I included, commented on her posts and advised her to upgrade her packaging by using a fine apron and gloves to make her look more attractive; and she heeded.

She subscribed to the packaging and also went ahead to register her business with CAC, and became certified with a business name - TJ boleries.

Soon she started receiving contracts and calls from different states across the country. She’d travel to Lagos, Portharcourt  etc... to prepare roasted ‘bole and fish’ in weddings and different ceremonies.

She’d organize a ‘bole’ show during sallah and other big holidays...and make a good fortune.

Soon she became well-known by the big names in her community.
She was given an award by the youths in her community for sustaining entrepreneurship in the society!

Soon she was on various blogs, who found her inspiring and shared her story online.

It didn’t end there; From there, she drew the attention of one of the best and most popular Tv stations - Channels Tv, who interviewed her and motivated everyone with her story on Tv.

Soon, she was invited by Hit Fm, a radio station in Calabar, who also made her inspire others with her story.

As if that was not enough, the Governor of her state also supported her with a whooping 2Million naira, to grow her enterprise.

She didn’t stop posting, she kept roasting and updating the public with details of her business progress, and interesting feedbacks from her customers who after eating would end up licking their plates, leaving only the bones behind.

To blow our minds up, few days ago, she was made an ECOBANK Ambassador!

Isn’t this amazing!
She’s her own BREAD WINNER!
Wife material 950%

Tomorrow you’ll see her cruising her car which she bought from ROASTED BOLE!

And you’ll start saying she’s using ‘jass’ or ‘bottom-power’.

Thunder, please do not hesitate to bend those mouths!

When she was burning her face with the smoke, y’all didn’t see it!

When posh babes were mocking and cussing her ‘dirty’ hustle, y’all didn’t see it!

When her friends dissociated and ostracized her... y’all didn’t see it!

When fine guys refuse to toast her, because she looks ‘swagless’... y’all didn’t see it!

Now she’s on your Tv screen, and very soon she’ll start doing diaspora,

Then you’ll be wondering how she got there? Maybe she used voodoo?... but hell no! It’s not magic!

Am sure she has “village people” too, but at this point they’re powerless; you know why?

Because when you harken to your inner will, and keep pushing, not even the devil can stop you!

Only YOU can stop YOU!

Like I’ll always say: CONSISTENCY IS KEY!

Let your hustle be genuine, do it with all passion, and very soon, your hustle go pay, and people go see RECEIPT!

Keep shining Tina... Congratulations Amb. Tina - Ecobank.
